Start in October 2021
A stimulating 5 week course organized by Kawa Training Center, that will give Tourguides more insight knowledge of Marine Life of Zanzibar.
The Course is given by Maarten Bergwerff of Leiden University in Holland and Ally Mussa Jape.
The course includes 3 Field trips.
Course Content:
- Marine ecosystems and food web
- Mangrove forests – Intertidal zones: seaweed and sea grass beds
- Corals and reefs
- Human and climate – based threats to coral reefs
- Tropical Fish
- Sea turtles
- Whales
- Dolphins
- Marine protected areas (MPA)
- Good practice and safety on board and in water
